Yesterday was our 12th anniversary. A dozen years! But Andy has changed so much…He simply is not the man I married.
Twelve years ago, Andy never kept my gas tank full, or rubbed Icy Hot on my stiff neck.
When we got married, he didn't battle with plastic light sabers, or play chess with his son.
He wouldn't get up in the middle of the night to take little girls potty, or leave work early to drive them to ballet.
He didn't take the kids out alone for "date nights" and "boy trips".
Andy never used to hug me in the mornings and ask, "Is there anything I can do for you today?"
And I'd never once heard him say, "I think I like the old Pride and Prejudice better than the new one." (However he'd probably still deny having any knowledge of that subject.)
No, Andy just isn't the same man I married at all!
I think he's twelve times better.

Amy, this is precious. A super-sweet observance of someone whose shorts you lit on fire by accident (though sometimes want to do on purpose??). I wish you two and your family the best! Here's to dozens more years!!
Who people are at ____(whatever age) aren't necessarily who they were when they got married. Hopefully they're growing.... That's neat that you noticed your husband's growth over time. I just married months ago, but I hope we both grow and mature and that we'll be able to notice and appreciate each other's growth as well...
You've got quite a husband, Amy. Never take him for granted. We just can't believe it's already been 12 years!
Happy Anniversary, Amy!
What a wonderful wife you are to write such sweet words about your hubby!
Congratulations! Isn't marriage a wonderful thing?!
